The Napa Valley Region, its wines and their correct serving temperature

Napa Valley, located in California, just north of San Francisco, is one of the most famous wine regions in the world. The region is known for its Mediterranean climate, which is ideal for growing grapes, and home to some of the most prestigious wineries and wines.

The Napa Valley wine region was established in 1858. There are over 400 wineries in Napa Valley, and the region produces around four million cases of wine each year. The most notable grape varieties grown in Napa Valley include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Merlot.   Each of these grapes and wines should be served at the ideal serving temperature for full enjoyment! 

The history of Napa Valley is rich and fascinating, the first people to settle in the region were the Native Americans, who lived here for thousands of years before the Europeans arrived. The first European settlers to arrive in Napa Valley were Spanish missionaries, who established a number of missions in the area, and planted the first vineyards. However, it wasn't until the mid-19th century that Napa Valley became known for its wines. In 1858, Napa Valley was officially designated as a viticultural area, this designation helped to promote the region's wines and attract more wineries to the area.
