Ideal Wine Serving Temperature for Gewurtztraminer

Gewurtztraminer is a white grape variety that is known for its aromatic and floral flavors. The grape is native to the Alsace region of France, where it is the most planted variety. Gewurtztraminer wines are typically off-dry to sweet, with high levels of alcohol and pronounced aromatics. The grape can also be made into a dry, still wine, although these are less common.

When choosing a Gewurtztraminer wine, look for one that has good acidity to balance out the sweetness. Wines from Alsace tend to be some of the best examples of this grape variety. Serve Gewurtztraminer wine chilled, as it will lose some of its aromatics if it is too warm.
