Ideal Wine Serving Temperature for Cabernet Sauvignon
Despite its notoriety, Cabernet Sauvignon is a relatively new variety that was the product of an accidental crossing between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon blanc during 17th century. This grape variety is more widespread than many others, and it can be grown in cooler regions thanks to its thick skin. It doesn't have much trouble adapting to the soil and climate. The classic profile for a Cabernet Sauvignon is one with high tannins and acidity, which add to its aging potential. Wines of this grape have a complex and concentrated aroma profile of blackberries, cigar box, cedar and flowery violet aromas.

"Hi l am Wim, sommelier, and wine enthusiast just like you! My fellow sommeliers understand the importance of serving wine at the correct temperature. They know that if wine is too warm, it will lose its flavors and complexities, and if wine is served too cold, it will numb your taste buds. A few world renown sommeliers and myself will explain this further, and share some interesting (taste) case studies."
